History Of Shaikh Faisal
William Shakespeare once said: “Be not afraid of greatness; some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them.
On the 1st of September 1970 an individual was born who clearly portrays the accuracy of this famous quote. Mr Shaikh Faisal was born into a working class family with seven siblings In Nazimabad, Karachi, Pakistan. Nazimabad was a small town with limited opportunities but his parents were determined to set up the best platform possible for their son to succeed. He attended Habib Public School, one of the best schools at that time, where he excelled in his studies until year 12 from there indulging himself in textbooks to achieve distinctions in college. After a successful start to his academia, he attended Karachi University to strive for his MBA degree.
After graduating, while most of his friends were taking years off to go travel around the world and enjoy the joys of finally being done with school, Faisal immediately joined his fathers bunkering business, Faisal Marine Oil Services, starting off as a trainee. He joined the field of bunkering and because of his sagacious demeanour was understanding aspects of the business that people working there for ages could not grasp.
Through his early years at Faisal Marine Oil Services his versatility was rewarded by him getting prompted to working on the docks as a seaman. From his endeavours behind the desk to his management in the field, he showed his zeal and there began the legacy of King of the Seas, Shaikh Faisal. His progressive nature and eagerness to succeed led him to work in the main office of Faisal Marine Oil Services as an accountant. Quickly grasping the contents of bunkering, led to him climbing up the executive ladder of the company with ease. His innovativeness and ability to think out of the box was an asset that was much needed in the company and embarked the turning of Faisal Marine Oil Services into an empire in Pakistan.
